ITINERARY

 

Day 1 - Overnight Pilanesberg (4 Nights)

Fly Cape Town to Lanseria.

We collect you from Lanseria airport - travel via Hartbeespoort dam where we

stop off for lunch and refreshments. Thereafter onto Pilanesberg National Park 

camp Manyane our base for four (4) nights.

 

Day 2, 3 and 4 Over night Pilanesberg

Over the next four days we explore this extinct volcano, now a well stocked 

Big Five reserve with its dramatic landscape that supports a wide variety of 

plants, animals and birds. 

 

Pilanesberg accommodates virtually every mammal of southern Africa. 

An abundance of wild life proliferates in some 580km² of diverse and arresting 

bushveld terrain. 

 

We visit a number of hides and scenic picnic sites (where we will enjoy a picnic) and

Pilanesberg Centre which was the old Magistrates Court of days gone by. 

Here we will enjoy lunch overlooking a watering hole frequented by a variety of 

animals. Over these four days we will enjoy two open vehicle game drives, offering some game viewing with a difference.

 

Day 5 - Overnight Lesedi (2 Nights)

Depart from Pilanesberg for Lesedi Cultural Village were we will overnight for

two (2) nights. 

Lesedi Cultural Village provides the visitor with a better understanding of the

rich and diverse cultural background of the African people. 

Experience a vibrant dancing show put on by these diverse cultures followed by 

an eclectic African feast.

 

Day 6

Today we visit De Wildt Cheetah Centre as it is commonly known.

DID YOU KNOW? The first KING CHEETAH were born at De Wildt. 

Other successful breeding and relocation projects are;

  • Wild dog

  • Brown hyena

  • Suni

  • Duiker

  • Cape vulture

  • Riverine rabbit

"​The centre is situated on what was originally Van Dyk's parent's chicken farm, which they acquired in 1950. Due to her compassionate nature, Ann soon had a collection of stray and injured animals on the farm. Then, in October 1968, a local farmer offered her two cheetah cubs, which she accepted.

After the Cheetah excursion we visit Pretville which is a quint little town with a 60's theme. Lunch in the area.

 

Day 7

Checking out at 09h00 we visit the van Gaalen Cheese factory were we will also enjoy lunch. Stock up, taste and enjoy locally made cheese. Shop for a selection of cheese, wine, preserves, souvenirs and a range of Dutch products.
